Hi, I’m Kelle Hinson—just a Texas-born real estate agent, not a doctor or a specialist—who found herself suddenly in the fight of her life. In July 2023, I was diagnosed with both esophageal and colon cancer. What followed was a whirlwind of tests, surgery, and recovery. But I never walked alone.
My incredible boyfriend stood by my side every single day, showing up with love and patience through the pain. My brother stayed with me through my entire 30-day hospital stay—never leaving, never wavering. My son, daughter-in-law, and precious grandkids surrounded me with strength, and I was lifted daily by the prayers of friends, family, and my church community. God carried me through every high and low, every scar and setback.
This blog isn’t written from a medical perspective—it’s written from the heart of someone who’s lived it. Someone who still believes in miracles, in grit, in grace, and in healing that comes from both science and the spirit.

Stronger With Scars is here to shine light in dark places. My goal is to share what I’ve learned—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—through my Esophagus Cancer journey in a way that uplifts, informs, and encourages others walking a similar path.
